Volunteer Grant Writer Wanted

We are looking for a volunteer to work with the FPLV Treasurer in seeking grant funding from businesses, civic organizations and private foundations. The duties involve completing grant proposals that strictly comply with the informational requirements specified by the funding organization. Duties also include completing subsequent progress reports as required by those entities that have granted funds to FPLV.

The volunteer can take on as much work as he or she wishes. Assignments will be made on a grant-by-grant basis. The volunteer can take on two or more grant proposals at a time if so desired.

Requirements

  • The volunteer must be willing to become familiar with the history, mission, operations, accomplishments and future plans of FPLV.

  • Must be willing to learn the basics of grant writing as provided by the FPLV Treasurer

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and able to work with on-line grant applications

  • Must have good writing and grammar skills and be able to clearly and informatively communicate FPLV’s story to the grant writing community

  • Must be able to read and interpret instructions and information provided by the grant makers
